Netflix has revealed plans for a new comedy centered on a couple’s struggle to recover access to a forgotten cryptocurrency fortune.
The film, One Attempt Remaining, stars Jennifer Garner and follows two ex-spouses who learn that the cryptocurrency they won together on a cruise years ago is now worth millions.
The problem is that neither of them can remember the password to the wallet holding the funds.

According to What’s on Netflix, the plot adds urgency through a notice from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The pair must retrieve $35 million within 48 hours before their claim expires.
The story mixes humor, tension, and a touch of romance as the couple works together under pressure to recover their shared fortune.
The concept mirrors real-life situations where forgotten passwords have left fortunes out of reach. One example is Stefan Thomas, a former Ripple executive, who misplaced the password to a hard drive holding 7,002 Bitcoin
The encrypted drive erases its contents after ten failed attempts, and Thomas revealed he had already tried eight times. As of late last year, he had not said whether he ever recovered the coins.
