ElevenLabs Expands Access to Free Impact Voices for Patients and Clinicians

In a significant move to enhance accessibility, ElevenLabs has announced that patients and clinicians can now apply directly on their website for free Impact voice licenses. This initiative aims to simplify the process for individuals affected by permanent speech loss or visual impairments, according to ElevenLabs.

Eligibility and Partnerships

The program partners with nonprofit organizations to distribute free access to individuals with various conditions such as ALS, MND, and more. Current partners include Bridging Voice in the USA, MND Association in the UK, and the Scott-Morgan Foundation globally, among others. These organizations support a wide range of diagnoses and regions, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

Application Process

Applicants need to create a free account on the ElevenLabs platform. From there, they can select the nonprofit organization that matches their region and diagnosis to proceed with the application. Notably, the process does not require discount codes or credit card details. Once approved, applicants receive a 5-year extendable free license. Clinicians can also apply for a free 1-year license to assist their patients in creating personalized synthetic voices.

This streamlined process is part of ElevenLabs’ broader goal of providing one million individuals with their voices back. By removing barriers, the company aims to make voice technology more accessible and inclusive. The new workflow is particularly designed for individuals with permanent speech loss and their supporting clinicians, facilitating easier onboarding and voice cloning.

ElevenLabs encourages organizations looking to expand support to new regions or diagnoses to apply through their standard Impact Program. This initiative reflects ElevenLabs’ commitment to using technology to empower individuals and improve quality of life for those with communication challenges.
