Binance Pay Expands QR Payments Across 7 Countries

Binance has announced that its Binance Pay service now supports QR code-based payments in seven countries, marking another step in its push to streamline cryptocurrency adoption for everyday transactions. The feature allows users to pay merchants via a simple QR scan, enabling seamless local and cross-border crypto payments. The functionality integrates with the Binance app and supports over 100 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Binance Coin (BNB), and stablecoins.

The addition of QR code payments aligns with Binance Pay’s broader mission to simplify digital asset transactions. QR codes reduce the margin for error in manual wallet address entry and provide real-time settlement—a critical feature for merchants and consumers alike. Merchants can generate scannable QR codes containing wallet and transaction details, making the checkout process both faster and more secure.

Binance Pay has seen steady growth since its launch in 2021, reportedly processing over 1.2 billion transactions globally across peer-to-peer transfers and retail payments. The service’s appeal lies in its borderless functionality, which benefits both local businesses and international commerce. Recent data from June 2026 indicates that 99% of Binance Pay’s transaction volume is denominated in stablecoins, underscoring their role in reducing volatility for payments.

Strategic partnerships have been integral to Binance Pay’s expansion. Earlier this year, Binance collaborated with Unlimit to embed Binance Pay into its global financial infrastructure, enhancing cross-border payment rails. Additionally, an integration with Anchorage Digital’s Atlas platform announced in late June aims to expand institutional settlement capabilities. These moves position Binance Pay as a key player in the global crypto payments ecosystem.

BNB, the native token of the Binance ecosystem, plays a pivotal role in supporting Binance Pay. As of July 29, 2026, BNB is trading at $568.17 with a market cap of $87.4 billion. While the token has seen a slight 24-hour decline of 0.16%, its utility within the Binance ecosystem—spanning transaction fees, payments, and staking—continues to drive demand.

Binance Pay’s expansion into QR code payments comes amid increasing competition in the cryptocurrency payments space. Other platforms are also vying for market share, but Binance’s focus on compliance and security bolsters its credibility. The company reportedly invests $300 million annually in compliance measures, with one in four employees working in related roles. These efforts have helped recover $8.2 billion in user assets since 2021 and intercepted $10.53 billion in fraudulent activity between 2025 and early 2026.

For crypto users and merchants, the new QR payment feature offers a glimpse into how digital assets are becoming more practical for everyday usage. As Binance Pay continues its expansion, this development could serve as a catalyst for broader adoption of cryptocurrency payments worldwide.
