Recent coverage of MemeToro scam claims focused on the differences between the headline fundraising total, public presale contracts and movements from the treasury wallet linked to the project.

The MemeToro presale isn’t fully visible on-chain. What can’t be reconstructed are things like card payments or what treasury funds were ultimately used for after they moved. Still, the $MT token contract can be checked while the blockchain can show exactly what passed through the public contracts and where funds from identified wallets moved afterward.

This is what this review looks at.

FDV and Vesting

A $0.05186 project-stated launch price with a maximum supply of 1.2 billion tokens implies a fully diluted valuation of around $62.23 million. This is not a price prediction of what the market will value $MT at after launch, as this will be decided by the market.

MemeToro states that presale tokens have no vesting and will be claimable at launch. The gap between the presale price and the stated launch price, along with immediate token claiming, is not unusual in crypto presales, where projects can use staged pricing and different launch-day unlock structures.

However, allowing presale buyers to access their full allocation at launch can create selling pressure if early participants decide to realize gains, making this a market risk rather than a smart contract issue.

The 96 million MT allocated to marketing and partnerships follows a different schedule. According to MemeToro’s tokenomics page, this allocation is subject to a 24-month vesting period, meaning those tokens are released over a longer period rather than becoming available at once.

Owner Wallet Rights: What the $MT Contract Allows

The deployed $MT token contract is 0x44412181b7eb66bff974c0a9a9e908e5bba8cfff. Security reviews have identified a fixed supply of 1.2 billion MT tokens, with no function allowing the owner to mint additional tokens.

SolidProof’s assessment is especially relevant to the owner-control question. Its review gives MemeToro a TrustNet score of 58.65 and leaves three medium and five low-severity findings open, with no high or critical issues listed.

One of those pending findings relates to the current launch setup. Trading has to be enabled manually, and those pre-launch functions currently sit with a single owner wallet rather than a multisig. The owner can also manage transfer exemptions before trading opens.

Manual trading activation is a fairly standard presale setup, since transfers are often restricted until a token officially launches. The switch is also one-way: once trading is enabled, the owner cannot disable it again.

SolidProof recommends moving ownership to a multisig, which would add another layer of protection around the remaining launch-stage controls.

Even in the current setup, though, the owner cannot mint additional $MT, introduce transfer taxes, blacklist holders, seize balances or replace the contract logic through a proxy.

The other two reviews are less focused on owner-control concerns: Coinsult scored the contract at 90% without low, medium or high-severity findings, while BlockSAFU recorded just one informational item and no findings from minor through critical severity.

Coinsult’s role is also relevant to the wider control setup, since some presale-related control sits outside the MemeToro team rather than with the project alone. Together with functions needed for ETH payments and staking, that helps explain why the contract does not meet every condition behind a perfect SolidProof score.

So yes, the owner has some control during the launch stage, but it is mostly tied to getting trading started. The contract puts clear limits around that role, which means one wallet cannot simply change the token’s core rules, create more supply or interfere with holder balances whenever it wants, giving buyers more certainty around the token’s supply and the rules they are buying into.

$MT Tokenomics: 50% Versus 71%

MemeToro’s tokenomics page further confirms 857,936,900 MT, which it labels as 71% of the supply, is allocated to the public sale. That token count actually represents approximately 71.5% of the stated 1.2 billion supply, although the website labels it as 71%. The stated 71% figure does not match the 50% public-sale allocation seen in an earlier whitepaper. That discrepancy is real and has been a source of confusion for some investors. The live website appears to reflect a newer allocation structure.

The change does not appear to involve an increase in the overall token supply, which remains fixed at 1.2 billion MT. Instead, the current tokenomics page allocates a larger portion of that supply to the public sale, with the remainder allocated across areas such as CEX reserves, marketing and partnerships, MemeToro trading, rewards, and the team.

More importantly, allocation is not circulating supply. Setting aside 71% for a public sale does not mean 71% will necessarily be sold, claimed and circulating at launch. The actual amount entering circulation will depend on how many presale tokens are sold and claimed, while tokens assigned to other allocations should not by default be treated as circulating simply because they have been allocated.

Fundraising and Treasury

Earlier coverage compared a MemeToro website snapshot showing $118,562 raised with roughly $63,966 attributed to two public presale contracts on BNB Chain and Ethereum, leaving about $54,600 not represented in those two contract totals.

That comparison confirms a gap between the figures being compared, but it does not establish why the gap exists. MemeToro accepts card payments, meaning purchases processed outside those two contracts would not necessarily appear in their on-chain data.

The same caution can also apply to the treasury. Prior reporting on wallets linked to the project described bridges, swaps, and transfers to a Binance deposit address. A bridge proves that assets moved between networks, a swap proves that one asset was exchanged for another, and a transfer to Binance shows that funds reached an exchange-controlled deposit route.

But those movements are not unusual on their own. Bridges, swaps and exchange deposits are all normal ways of moving or converting crypto, and the transactions themselves don’t show that funds were misused or taken out of the project.

For presale projects accepting multiple cryptocurrencies across different networks, these transactions can be part of normal treasury management. They can include consolidating funds across chains or converting assets for liquidity and operating expenses. However, blockchain data confirms where funds moved, not the business logic or reasoning behind each transaction.

How to Check the Presale On-Chain

Anyone can check the main on-chain pieces without relying only on the figures shown on the website.

  1. Check the $MT contract on BscScan to confirm the supply, holders and verified contract code.
  2. Open the BNB and Ethereum presale addresses on BscScan and Etherscan to see the crypto purchases that actually passed through those contracts.
  3. Look at the treasury wallet separately to follow later transfers, swaps or bridge movements.
  4. Match the $MT contract address with the audit reports to make sure smart contract security providers all reviewed the same token contract that is being sold.

What the Numbers Confirm

The on-chain data gives a fairly clear view of the core parts of the MemeToro presale. The $MT contract is live, the crypto payment routes can be followed, and the main wallet movements are visible on public explorers.

Overall, the available records show a presale with several parts that can be checked independently rather than one that depends only on figures published on the website. The mismatch between the website total and the two public contracts still cannot be fully reconstructed from on-chain data, although off-chain payment methods such as card purchases provide one plausible explanation for part of the difference.
