Tether, the prominent stablecoin issuer, has announced a strategic move to acquire a controlling interest in Juventus Football Club. According to Tether, the company has submitted a binding all-cash proposal to Exor N.V., Juventus’ largest shareholder, to purchase its entire stake in the club.

In a statement detailing the proposal, Tether expressed a deep admiration for Juventus, viewing the club as a symbol of Italian sporting excellence with a global following. The proposal involves acquiring Exor’s shareholding, which represents 65.4% of Juventus’ issued share capital. Tether has committed to making a public offer for the remaining shares at the same price, contingent upon regulatory approvals and the execution of definitive agreements. Should the acquisition proceed, Tether plans to invest 1 billion Euros in the club’s development and growth.
